Why Malta
The Maltese islands: Malta, Gozo and Comino, make up the 315 square kilometres of the Maltese Archipelago. The islands are situated halfway between Sicily and North Africa. Set in the sun-drenched Mediterranean Sea surrounded by some of the clearest waters, the islands are steeped in history, tradition and charm; yet they are full of cosmopolitan colour and fun.
Why Film In Malta?
Malta prides itself in offering a vast variety of film locations due to its rich architectural heritage and diverse landscape. The Maltese Archipelago has been used to stand in for many different countries such as Iraq, Kuwait, Egypt, Turkey, Peru and of course Italy, just to mention a few. Spielberg’s ‘Munich’ for example used Malta to double for Rome, Beirut and Athens as well as for Israel, Palestine, Greece, Cyprus and Spain.

Twenty13 Productions will offer any film maker that wants to use Malta either as a base for their entire production or as a location for part of their shoot; the very best and most cost effective production services available.
Twenty13 Productions has an office in the capital city of Valletta. Our services include:

Our Work & Selected Credits
During their time at the Mediterranean Film Studios (1999 – 2014), the two directors of Twenty13 Productions achieved a high level of knowledge and experience working on over 130 productions not only from Europe but also US, Japan and South Korea. Productions have included; feature films, music videos, television productions, documentaries, TVCs and photo shoots. Over the years the principals of Twenty13 Productions became experts in the use and management of the world famous water tanks with their unique marine SFX possibilities, in the organisation and coordination of marine and other set constructions, set dressing, scale model fabrication and in location shooting, production coordination and servicing. Approximately 40 of these productions were fully serviced by the two principals who were further responsible for organising the filming at MFS, coordinating and managing the SFX marine shooting and all set constructions.
