Twenty13 Productions is proud to introduce its unique 3-day film tour of the Maltese Islands, featuring location sites that set the stage for major motion pictures. Film enthusiasts can get the inside scoop on many spectacular locations where famous films were made.

This 3-day film tour is not only a treat for all film enthusiasts but also for families and groups of friends. It provides a fun and unique way to explore Malta for those that want a sightseeing tour with an entertainment twist.

Malta and its sister Islands are one of the most popular filming locations in the world and this tour will allow the participants to see what such stars as Brad Pitt, Steven Spielberg, Russell Crowe, Tom Hanks and many more, loved about the Maltese Archipelago. The tour is conducted by a fully licensed tour guide who will share anecdotes and stories on some of the films shot in Malta.

The guide will entertain and inform the group as they visit over 20 locations, including, amongst others:

  • Valletta where such films as Midnight Express, Munich and World War Z were filmed
  • Vittoriosa, where the harbour was transformed into Marseille in the Count of Monte Cristo
  • Fort St Angelo which was featured in Game of Thrones
  • Mediterranean Film Studios, home to many films such as U-571, Wickie The Viking, Asterix & Obelix and most recently Captain Phillips starring Tom Hanks
  • Mellieha cliffs where the temple ruins in Troy where constructed and filmed
  • British Hotel that doubled for a Greek Hotel in Munich
  • Comino, the smallest of the Maltese islands, where St Mary’s Tower doubled up as Chateau d’If prison in the Count of Monte Cristo, starring Jim Caviezel, Richard Harris and Guy Pearce
  • Popeye’s Village which was constructed for the 1980 film Popeye starring Robin Williams

This 3-day film tour is available for groups of a minimum of 18 pax and a maximum of 30 pax.
